It came in at 2nd place in the Best Model competition that year. I love it! This is a joy to see because so much is happening in the set-up and mechanical devices have a certain fascination for many people.

How were Meccano parts fitted onto the mounting boards (sheets) at the factory, with thin wire or with string? Was the wire/string continuous throughout all parts or were similar parts wired/strung to a board/sheet independently from other similar parts?

That is one superb piece of work. I'm interested to see you've adapted it to use a modern can motor. Love it - really good. I also very much like that veteran car displayed beneath it - if I am not mistaken it is copied from a prize winner in a late 1920's/early 30's Meccano Magazine.

1:38 now THIS model is cool! If I was the builder, I would put some sort of plastic shroud around the boat to make it so it could actually float without any issues. That tractor is also really neat.
